While other Royal Caribbean ships have a private sun deck for suite guests, Wonder of the Seas takes this concept one step further. The Suite Sun Deck on Wonder of the Seas is a large outdoor space featuring comfy loungers, its own bar, and a plunge pool. Other water features include the FlowRider surf simulator, Perfect Storm water slides and kid-friendly Splashaway Bay. Suite guests will have a private sun deck on deck 18 to enjoy at their leisure, which offers a view of the back of the ship.

A Hole Way to Play
It’s a good idea to open the Royal Caribbean app as soon as you get onboard and reserve your preferred time slots for shows. The ship features a range of exciting activities and attractions for guests of all ages, including a casino, spa, swimming pool, fitness center, and multiple dining venues. Plus, with its variety of cabins to choose from, there is something for everyone aboard the Wonder of the Seas.
Royal Caribbean Makes Some Surprising Short Cruise Announcements for 2025-26
While I waited for food to arrive, my daughter could run, climb and ride around to get the wiggles out. Wonder of the Seas currently holds the title of largest cruise ship in the world. It carries 5,734 guests at double occupancy (i.e., if every cabin held only two people) and 6,988 passengers when completely full. Add roughly 2,200 crew members, and you could be sailing on a ship with 9,000-plus people on board. When it comes to restaurants on Wonder of the Seas, there is no shortage of choice.

As the largest cruise ship in the world, Wonder of the Seas has a gross tonnage of 236,857 GT and is 1,188 feet long. It has 2,867 staterooms to fit a maximum of 6,988 guests at full capacity (5,734 guests at double occupancy). It carries 2,300 crew members and features 18 total decks, with 16 guest decks. Wonder of the Seas is the first Oasis-class ship to bring all the suite amenities together into a dedicated neighborhood. It houses many, but not all, of the ships' top suites, an exclusive restaurant and lounge with bar and concierge desks, and a sun deck with a wading pool and hot tubs.
Suite Neighborhood
A final Oasis-class ship has been ordered and is planned to launch in 2024; it is still unnamed. Royal Caribbean has one of the fastest Wi-Fi systems at sea, and you can take advantage of this on Wonder of the Seas. Currently, Wi-Fi packages with streaming bandwidth start at $17.99 per day per device; however, prices do change over time. If you're traveling with family or sharing a room with friends, look for multidevice packages that are less expensive on a per-device basis. Certain suite guests receive complimentary Wi-Fi, so know your included perks before you sign up for a package. The Windjammer buffet is large and split into two sections, each overlooking the Boardwalk nine decks below.
Enjoy the sights and sounds, and indulge in the fun as you take on climbing challenges or watch professional divers make a splash. Royal Caribbean International announced the order of a new Oasis-class cruise ship in 2016, with a planned delivery in early 2021. However, Wonder of the Seas no longer holds the title of the world’s biggest cruise ship after being surpassed by Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas. These are just ten of the top things to do onboard, so save time for plenty more surprises and unforgettable deckside discoveries. Holiday time is no time for tame – and Wonder of the Seas® definitely ups the ante on downtime. Whether you’re looking for jaw-dropping feats at the AquaTheater, your own slice of the spotlight at our signature karaoke bar, or cocktails with a view at the Vue Bar℠.
Starting prices for balcony cabins range from $1,000 to $1,700 per person, but winter holiday and other popular vacation weeks can top $2,000. Also not yet ready for prime time on our sailing were the parades down the Royal Promenade. We did catch part of a rehearsal for a pirate-themed parade, and the "floats" and costumes were fun. If you've got little kids, keep an eye out for the parade in your daily planner. And, of course, the ship's entertainment crew will lead trivia and other activities, especially on sea days. New on this ship is the Wonder Playscape climbing structure and play area for young kids.
ORLANDO’S BEST FAMILY VACATION
The Wonder of the Seas is one of six Oasis-class ships currently sailing with Royal Caribbean. Oasis-class ships are the second largest class of cruise ships in the world. Their split-superstructure design creates unique outdoor spaces in the middle of the ship called Central Park and the Boardwalk. This class of ships also introduced the "neighborhood" concept, which groups venues into different themed zones to help improve people flow.

The only way to know your price is to consult the Royal Caribbean cruise planner once you're booked. Cruise pricing is dynamic and varies for each specific sailing based on factors such as departure point, ports of call, and time of year. That means Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Barqs Root Beer, although the selection can vary by ship. Most Royal Caribbean ships also have Coke Freestyle machines where you can make 100 different flavor combinations. The ship offers an incredible array of activities that cater to every age and interest.

Located midship across decks 16, 17, and 18, the new Suite Neighborhood wraps around the funnel. Without question, Wonder of the Seas will have app support before her first sailing. However, Royal Caribbean has yet to enable Wonder in the app, which also means the ability to check-in for the cruise remains unavailable. An interesting fact about Wonder of the Seas is that there will actually be less suites on Wonder of the Seas than other Oasis Class ships. Wonder of the Seas is about to begin her inaugural season, and there's plenty of people who are excited to it out.
The main drawback is the venue gets loud, especially when the band is playing, so be prepared to yell all your conversations. Hands down, our favorite restaurant on board was The Mason Jar, Royal Caribbean's new Southern comfort food restaurant only available on Wonder of the Seas. The giant meatball is apparently amazing (I don't eat pork, so didn't partake), and I admit to ordering the Nutella and banana stromboli for dessert off the kids menu and not regretting one bite.

Adjacent to the restaurant is The Mason Jar Bar, serving specialty cocktails including the PB&J Old Fashioned, Mississippi Moonlight, and All Shook-Up shake. In fact, it is not yet clear if there will be a Broadway show onboard Wonder of the Seas, although other Oasis Class ships have all had Broadway shows onboard. Other Wonder of the Seas options include Wonderland, Asian-inspired flavors at Izumi, American steakhouse Chops Grille, American seasonal dishes at 150 Central Park, Johnny Rockets, Starbucks, Sugar Beach and more.
